Better late than never. Here is my pre-trip newsletter.. halfway thru my trip. I'll keep it short, all is well, flying in to JFK on the morning of 9/11 awesome... should have looked at the dates before I booked the ticket. Working at Royal Tattoo in Denmark last week was awesome, as it always is.. huge thanks to Henning for the gracious hospitality and to Gitta for taking care of me. Shout outs to the boys and girls there.

Back on holiday again now for 3 weeks.. NYC, Toronto, Vancouver and London. I know I was also in Barcelona 2 weeks ago and Amsterdam a few days ago.. I just don't remember much of it.

(I also did the script on the cover and the skull line drawing on the back cover!)

Ok, where to start! It has been a long long time since I sent out a newsletter, well here it is!

First off, if you're on the waiting list, I want to thank you for being patient, things are moving along.. albeit slowly but moving nonetheless. Please see the wait times on my contact page for current guesstimates and you can sort of figure it from there from when you added yourself.. rest assured that if you were added then you are still on the list, if you have new contact information please forward it on to me and I will update the file. Also, if you need to hold off for a while to go traveling or save money then that's no problem either.. just let me know and I will make sure you keep your spot in line.

If you haven't yet checked it out then you can do so now, Australian Ink Magazine.. I have my own regular column in there now to give my 2 cents worth... better mag of its kind around... there is a link to the article below if you click the cover.

I am going away for my usual 6 weeks this August to work a little and get inspired along the way. I'll be in Denmark, Holland, USA, Canada and the UK. I will be doing some tattooing along the way so hit me up and maybe we can work something in the travels. Spaces are extemely limited.

If you would like to get tattooed by me in Helsingor Denmark at ROYAL TATTOO please contact either myself or Royal Tattoo and arrange a deposit and a time. I am only working there one week between September 1-5, 2009 and I am already filling up.

I will also be working a couple days in NYC at Invisible in mid september, let me know if you're interested.

BOOKING UPDATE - Very Important

A couple of new things about how we book stuff at the shop now, there is 72 hours notice required to change or cancel appointments in order to keep your deposit rolling. Otherwise it's lost ($400 worth). No Exceptions

If you change, cancel, shorten or modify your scheduled appointment without a weeks (7 days) notice the shop is going to charge you a $100. My schedule is tight, lots of people waiting and its very difficult to fill gaps on short notice, I hate sitting around when I could be tattooing. This is only to ensure people don't change their appointments on a whim.. as this does happen.

Laser

Seems a lot of folks are waiting until their consults to be told in person they need their old tattoo faded out before a cover up can be done. The bad news is another 6-8 months of waiting for the laser process to be completed. If you're not sure about whether you need laser fading or not then come see me NOW.. and we'll figure it out.. that way when your time to get tattooed comes up you'll be ready to go.
