Settling back in and getting back into full gear at work.. what a crazy trip I just had, not much of a holiday but more a whirlwind global tour. I spent about 4 days in each city;
Copenhagen, Denmark for Henning Jorgensens 25th anniversary party of Royal Tattoo. Henning, myself and Scott Syvia
Amsterdam, Holland to party and visit friends. Above photo is at Hanky Panky & Tycho's new shop in the city with Tycho and Gilbert 'Hurricane' Yvel.
Eindhoven, Holland to visit the good ol' boys down at the new and much larger Dragon Tattoo, Greg, Jim, Staaf, Sasha & Hans. You guys rule.. thanks for the night out! and the drive the next morning!
New york, New york with my homies down at Invisible NYC. Awesome time, great guys, Troy and Marco.
No photos from Toronto.. but I was there too... chilling out in the country. And then flew to Barcelona... for a more late night til dawn socializing...jetlag and nightclubs work out well together.
And then London Tattoo Convention 2008. Best show ever.. great artists, great venue, good food (for england), fantastic weather and a cool crowd. Once again spending a ridiculous amount of money on books too. Totally worth showing up there! Above we have Dan Sinnes, Troy Denning, myself, tattooed girl, Scott and Juan Puente.
And here is a little surprise for Sydney tattoo fans, Chisaki is coming back to Sydney to tattoo for a few months in the new year! We're taking names for a waiting list now. Above is Mike Rubendall, Richard Pinch, yours truly and Chisaki herself.
All in all a great journey but really glad to be back, Sydney is home for now so no plans of going anywhere anytime soon, I've got so much stuff here anyways it would be impossible to leave even if I wanted too! A lot of people have been emailing me about the waiting list and 'how much longer', I appreciate summer has just arrived and everyone wants their tattoo finshed. I am working as hard as I can to to get things done... and have been taking lots of consults.. so please, if you're on the list.. be patient.. I'll get to you soon as I can... in order. I am only doing walk-ins on weekend mornings now and taking more bookings for large stuff on weekends so that will get things moving faster too.

Officially on holidays now.

Posted 13 new portfolio pics today, check em out! Looking forward to my vacation overseas, I'll be attending the 25th anniversary of Henning Jorgensens tattoo shop Royal Tattoo in Helsingor, Denmark this week. And then visiting in Amsterdam for a few days before heading to Toronto for some down time with family. Of course I will be making the trip to NYC to visit the boys at Invisible NYC Tattoo so if you're somewhere along my route holler at me! I'll be doing some tattooing along the way there. Next stop is the London Tattoo Convention late September, I'll be visiting for a couple days but not working. After that I'll be hitting my second home of Barcelona for a week to catch up with mates and finish some tattoos. If you're keen to get something from me during this time let me know soon as my bookings are almost full.
I'll be back to work doing walkins on the 11th of October like normal and on my regular schedule. For those on the waiting list, Anna will be contacting you soon and booking heaps of consults for my return. If you don't hear anything this first time around please be patient and we'll get to you on the next wave. Thanks for waiting!

So we've done the big move and are now doing all the tattooing out of 251 Crown St! Come check us out... nice, clean and modern new shop just down the street from the old one.. with the same crew!

Also I am happy to announce the website www.fadeyourtattoo.com for my partner in lasering.. its just the basics for now to get you started but it'll have more photos and info soon. If you do want to get some laser fading done before getting a cover up tattoo please keep in mind that you must wait at least 4-6 weeks between laser sessions and up to 8 weeks after your last laser session before you can get tattooed over the same spot. So get cracking!

My travel plans have all but been cemented... as it stands now I will be away from Inner Vision Tattoo from mid-August until end of September 2008. I'll be back at it full time early October.
I am now in partnership with a very professional and capable Laser Tattoo Fading Technician using the latest Q-switched Nd:YAG laser that can diminsh black, blue and red tattoos in only a couple of sessions for a very reasonable price... making beautiful cover-ups much lighter, easier, and more colorful without an overuse of black. I have done a lot of cover-ups over the years and am now happy to be able to work with someone that can reduce darkenss of the old tattoo before I start, enabling me to make a better brighter tattoo.
We are offering joint consults for tattoo 'fading' sessions and cover-up implementation all in one, and the only service of its kind in Sydney. We work together to give the best cover-up result with the least amount of lasering necessary to achieve the best results. Lasering can be slightly uncomfortable at times so we offer a choice of numbing creams to make the experience virtually painless!
My colleague also offers tattoo 'removal' and fading without the addition of more tattooing if thats all you're after. Prices starting at $100 for something small and up from there depending on size of tattoo and time needed per session. This is what we've all been waiting for, affordable and effective laser service!

It is the May 2008 Issue #43 with Linnea on the cover featuring my work as well as an 8 page feature article on myself. Check it out!

Japan and Thailand were great! Huge thanks to Megu and friends in Tokyo for taking awesome care of me and sorting me out there.. could not have done it without them! And I finally was able to meet Horiyoshi III in Yokohama, very cool time and worth the trip on its own merit. He was very hospitable!
Thailand is a no brainer... sun swim sleep eat repeat.
Back to regular work hours again, walk-ins Saturdays and Sundays, get there early! and my usual weekday routine. Its good to be home. For more info on waiting list etc.. keep reading down the page..its all there :)

Back on my grind, and things are cruising right along at the shop. I want to thank everyone who has been patient and waited for my return to get tattooed, you won't be disappointed I hope! I am still taking consultations for new clients now and the wait is not as long as you might think.. but there is some waiting period so if you drop by the shop or call to book in a consult please be patient.. I have a cancellation list as well that you can request to be put on if you want to get in sooner.
At the moment I am only taking consults for Japanese work, some San Fran Style Traditional stuff, script lettering and a very limted amount of black work, .. so if you are coming to me with tribal requests its going to have to be some fresh shit for me to take it on..otherwise I can confidently recommend one of our other talented artists who specializes in what you are after!
As always I do some cover-ups.. these are decided on a per case basis.. but please, as I do enjoy them you can ask, but I might request you get some laser treatments to lighten them up a bit first to give us more creative lee way. Please keep this in mind.
PLEASE NOTE: Weekends (Sat & Sun) are reserved for walk-ins only and I do not take bookings for these days at the moment. If you want something small you can just rock up and get tattooed by me with no waiting period other than perhaps a few hours! Small means things like stuff off the wall, your small designs that I can prepare quickly, script lettering thats isn't huge, symbols, kanji... you get the idea.. I can also do some larger japanese motifs that I have pre-drawn.. so come see me and lets see what we can do!
If you would like me to tattoo you then please request me when you put your name on the list with the counter girl. The Shop opens at 11 am, folks usually start lining up at 10-10:30 or earlier on Saturday, and Sundays are a little more chill. Don't be discouraged as there are usually 4 of us working each day and we'll see to you quickly and book you in for later in the day.
Like I said though, if it needs to be custom drawn you will need to make an appointment.. 1/2 sleeves, sleeves, and other large stuff needs a consult and multiple pre-booked appointments.

A consultation with me is free of charge. However to make a booking for a tattoo you will need to leave a cash deposit at the time of booking. If you are from out of town or state it is possible to consult via email and send a deposit in the form of a postal money order.

Just when I thought it was over! We're arrived safe after 17,000 kms of epic tattoo shop roadtripping around Canada and America and I was looking forward to a few weeks of R'n'R before making the long journey downunder... However, much to my delight I have been invited by the one and only Henning Jorgensen to work as a guest artist in his world famous tattoo studio in Helsingor, Denmark, Royal Tattoo.
And so, I have rearranged my schedule and will appear everyday at Royal Tattoo from the 4th of September until the 13th of September.
Please note this will not effect my return dates to Australia. I will still be there the last week of September, confirmed :) I have only rearranged my travel route and personal schedule. Thanks and hope to see you along the way! And yeah, come get tattooed by me in Denmark!
